BuildaBridge trains artists and community personnel to effectively serve children and their families in tough places. We envision a world where all children are resilient, experience self‐efficacy, and have a vision for their future. BuildaBridge dedicates its resources to building the capacity of creative adults and local communities to fulfill this vision.

We connect artists to service opportunities through Artists-on-Call and provide direct service to children in transition though arts-integrated programming in Philadelphia and around the world. Our annual Institute has trained over 550 artists in service to their communities since 2002.

BuildaBridge visits Danzante in Harrisburg

BuildaBridge Programs Administrator Danielle Dembrosky visited Danzante Urban Arts Monday, February 13 to observe their after school program. Danzante is an official alliance of BuildaBridge in Harrisburg. They utilize the BuildaBridge Classroom model in all of their classes, including use of the online assessment system to track class and student progress. Artist-on-Call and Harrisburg liaison Jill Kane, consults with Danzante, providing their teachers training in the BuildaBridge methods, on-going professional development, and assistance in completing the online assessments.

BuildaBridge Beta is BuildaBridge'a strategic integration technology in all our work to increase capacity and sustainability. This week we received an intersting email from Google inviting us to a free orientation to Google+. Google has taken new community approach to their applications (Google Apps) and non-profits that use them. Jeffery Salvitti of Google came by the offices on Friday and gave us an initial orientation on the new Google+ and explained how our to imprive our networking and colaboration. Jeffrey's mission (as a rep of Google) is to help local non-profits improve their visibility and cooperation.
